Marathon

Sargakshetra proudly presents its first mega Marathon event – the first time in Changanacherry. Marathon has emerged as a sensational health-promoting sporting event. If you have the inclination, we provide the facilities to join us and enjoy the fiesta with family and friends. No age limit for 5k and 3k Fun runs.

Community Radio

Sargakshetra 89.6 FM is an initiative of Sargakshetra to put light on the immediacy of the society to address social issues and social needs through development communication. The community radio is for enhancing social transformation and development among rural communities in the Kottayam and Alappuzha districts of Kerala.

PMC (Peoples Mediation Center)

People’s Mediation Center (PMC) is formed for the purpose of promoting mediation and empowering people towards sustainable development and creating a harmonious society. PMC at Sargakshetra functions under the Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation,with the motto ‘resolving conflicts; promoting harmony.

Road Safer

In the year 2011, Sargakshetra embarked on an ambitious project; to provide Road Safety Training to Public and Private Vehicle Drivers, in association with the Kerala Motor Vehicles Department. AWARENESS PROGRAM About 2800 (80%) auto rickshaw drivers of Changanacherry taluk received Road Safety training over a period of 1 year.

Forums and Clubs

The organization is functioning with various forums/clubs for women, senior citizens, youth, and professionals in which they plan, organize and conduct programs that aid society.

School of fine Arts

It is important that the child identifies and develops his /her artistic talents. As the Development of intellectual potential in formal school education, the Center caters to the development of the artistic talents of the individuals through systematic training of art forms. The School of Fine Arts has the following Schools: School of Music, School of Dance, School of Martial Arts and School of Arts

Workshops

Various workshops are being conducted by the organization for personality development, art and culture for the holistic development of children.

Disaster Management Cell

Sargakshetra Disaster Management Cell initiates various activities during disasters to provide services ranging from immediate relief to rehabilitation of the community members. During the Kerala floods in 2018, and 2019 and the spread of the pandemic, we were actively involved in providing support and services to the community.

Education

Child sponsorship is a program which provides a helping hand to the most needful students through scholarships. Scholarships are given to students either to continue their education or in gaining cultural training. For this the institution make use of donations collected from various firms and individuals.

Anti-Drug Campaign

In Kerala, drug addiction among teenagers is rising at a disturbing rate. With this scenario, Sargakshetra initiated an all-Kerala awareness program against drug use. The awareness campaign was named ‘SAY NO TO DRUGS’. More than 100 schools and colleges and around two lakh students were addressed in this campaign

Hair and Wig Donation

It is an initiative that is launched to extend helping hands to those people who are affected by cancer The CAP@ Campus project Sargakshetra organized hair collection and free wig donation camps in various institutions. Many individuals showcased their interest in this charity activity. Around 515 wig donation programs were conducted. Around 1800 no girls gave their hair for wig donation purposes.

Cancer care

Cancer Awareness Programs @ Campus was a massive awareness campaign towards the prevention of cancer, across Kerala. From 2013 onwards the trust had conducted various campaigns, seminars and hair collection across Kerala and more than 2 lakh families have benefitted from this effort both directly or indirectly. Various activities include breast cancer awareness and detection camps, medical camps, cancer day celebrations and so on.

Women Empowerment

It is a realm through which the voices of women are heard so that their qualities of mind and heart can be put together to bring righteousness to society. The activity conducted under this forum is called “Trajectory of righteousness through mothers.” This group is formed to support the backward community.

Transgender Welfare

The transgender community is being supported by the organisation through, a livelihood program and cultural fest exhibition which is being conducted as acceptance and inclusion into the community.

Civil Service Foundation

Right Track is a Civil Service Foundation Program that is a specially designed student training initiative, offering students a chance to channel their energy and potential on the right track. The foundation course is exclusively designed for students in the age group of 10-15 years. The programme focuses on habit and attitude formation among the students.

Kaval Project

Kaval, a project aimed at the integration of children in conflict with the law into mainstream society, is a pilot project launched by the Social Justice Department, Govt. of Kerala. In Sargakshetra the project began in the year 2018 at the Kottayam district and later in the year 2019, it was extended to the Alappuzha district. The aim of the project is to provide psychosocial care for children in conflict with the law by ensuring holistic care and rehabilitating and reintegrating them back into the society

Elderly Care

Pakalveedu –Day care centre for the Elderly is one of the primary initiatives of Sargakshetra. The program focuses on creating a platform for aged people to come together and have a good quality time. Various activities under Pakalveedu include yoga, meditation, physical fitness training, Zumba, and so on.

Refurbishment of Anganawadis

31 Agnawadis which were severely affected in the flood of 2018 were the primary beneficiary of this program. Our initiatives focused on rebuilding the infrastructure and also to create a better environment for learning.

Refurbishment of Schools

Many schools were damaged during the flood of 2018. Our initiative focused on the refurbishment of schools and also providing a better learning environment. 11 schools were repaired and restored in Alleppey, Idukki and Ernakulam districts.

Livelihood support

During the flood many people lost their properties, livelihood means and in that distress Sargakshetra intervened by providing support through distributing vaccinated chicks and ducks to start a new beginning. The beneficiaries were identified through need based assessments and prioritization.

HOUSE CONSTRUCTION

The program focused on indigent people who lost their homes during the flood. We Successfully build two new homes for our beneficiary. Two new houses are under construction for the flood victims
